May 1st Labor Day
Today is Labor Day a very special day, a holiday in almost all countries (on other days) .
In general we are off from work, a free day (and when it falls on a Friday like this year, it’s great), people travel and have fun with friends, family etc..
But few of us stop to think that this day is very important because I hate to repeat myself, I know i have said this a thousand times I don’t like comemorative days, but in this case it is different, because we can celebrate that we live in freedom and democracy which is not the same in many countries of the world in which slavery is still around, as hard as it is to beleive.
On a day like today, we should rejoice in the social gains achieved over many years of struggle for social workers, and although there is still much to be done, we can feel satisfied and happy of what has been achieved.
I remind you that every year there are manifistations all provinces of Spain.
