Recycling in La Playa San Juan
What a week of surprises! The municipality of this city has come up with some great ideas, first that if the rehabilitation of the most emblematic monuments and now, the recycling of the used olive oil we use for cooking to turn it into biodiesel.
It seems that they are going to install containers in 6 districts of Alicante, including Playa San Juan. The initiative is a good idea, because honestly What do we do with the oil that we left over from fryers, pans etc. we usually just throw it down the drain or the toilet , Thereby contaminating the sea, and producing numerous jams in the pipes. Did you know that one liter of oil spilled into the sea can contaminate up to 1,000 liters of water?
With this initiative the council has the intention of turning 30,000 liters of fuel from oil, and I wonder why only do this in 6 districts?, Gentlemen, if you have a good idea, it should be extended to the entire city and not just a few, because I am sure, that if you give people the facilities, such as placing containers near their homes, everybody would work together to conserve the environment.
