The egg
Eggs are a very comprehensive food and have many nutritional properties. Apparently, it is thought of as “the bad guy” when it comes to diets because it is believed that it is responsible for increasing the levels of cholesterol in the blood, but studies have shown that this is false. I know a pastor who eats 2-3 eggs a day and has a cholesterol of 210, there are many who wished for this number and think they are eating “healthier”.
Eggs provide us with proteins that are the highest quality of any integral food . In addition, it offers vitamins such as A, B2, B12, D and E and minerals such as phosphorus, selenium, iron, iodine and zinc, and it does all this in appropriate quantities that are essential for our body.
However, not all eggs are equal, if you notice all eggs are now numbered telling us lot of things, but today we are going to comment on the first number:
0 eco egg, hen is free, never eats fodder, and is not treated with hormones
1 camp egg, hen is free but is given fodder.
2 hens live on farms, they eat fodder but are free.
3 hens live in stable, eat fodder, they are changed yearly, an organic hen can live up to 5 years., each year the change, an organic chicken can last 5 years.
Although we are clear that everything we eat today is treated with many products, unless it is organic, sometimes we think that when we buy eggs in bulk that are placed on a cardboard, the egg is better but it’s not always so.
If anyone knows where we can buy 0 or 1 quality eggs here in Playa San Juan, knowing that half a dozen of organic egss costs about 2 euros, please let us know…
