Nutrition during the holidays
Happy Holidays! We are in the middle of the Holiday celebration and all waiting anxiously for 2009 to arrive, with a bit of hesitation because of the crisis and the unkown. By this point we have already celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and most of our holiday lunches..
But in order for the holidays not to overwhelm our nutrition here are a couple of tips:
It is very important to remember thatthe days where there is no celebration, don’t have one yourself, our organism already has a lot to deal with, digestion and all the extra stuff we offer it such as drinks and junk food, remember to have light dinners, such as a broth, yogurt or fruit, there is no need for much more.
Remember to chew your food well and try not to eat with your eyes, during these days it is hard to do, we see all the delicious food around us and we know we can’t eat any more but we do.
Make an effort to walk and get out even though its cold, try to take strolls around La Playa San Juan during sun hours, if there are any, this will help oxygenate your body, and will keep you away from eating between meals and sitting around the house picking at food.
There is no need to abuse on stomach medicine if you don’t over do it.
During 2009 we will contine on our journey to good nutrition and healthy habits..
I wish you all the very best.
