If you happen to be a tourist in Playa San Juan or perhaps a local and you haven’t decided where your next excursion will take you, let us help you choose the most beautiful and emblematic place of this area. Guadalest.

Guadalest a town located about 65 miles from Playa San Juan and takes about an hour to get there being that the final stretch is filled with curves but also wonderful views that makes the traveler forget the inconvenience of so many twists and turns. The town is located on the top of a granite mountain that offers those who visit it beautiful views, aside from castles, museums and picturesque homes. The visit to the Castle is done through a tunnel dug into the mountains and once you arrive you can understand why the Moors choose this strategic location which is impregnable. Other sites worthy of admiration are: The peñón de la Alcalá and the views of the river from which the town takes its name.

Trying to describe this place is impossible, we only recommend that you don’t miss it; once there you never want to leave, you must have your camera ready at all time so you can bring home these fabulous memories. oh! And dedicate a few minutes to sit one one one of them many terraces in the main square, have coffee or a beer and enjoy the attention of the inhabitants of this village which is exquisite.
