Alicante is still growing
In a recent article in 20 Minutos they showed that our capital is growing at a good pace and this is good news. Neighborhoods such as Gabinet and San Blas are those who have experienced a greater influx of new neighbors, in the first the increase was 7.9% and 6.3% in the second, exceeding 10,000 18,168 residents respectively taken from the municipal data.
According to the municipal sociologist D. Antonio Balibrea this is largely due to the quality of the urban housing and the environment that surrounds them, as it is young people who mostly choose to live there.
Our Playa San Juan is another area with imense growth which has increased by 6.3% and its inhabitants that exceed 16,000. All this is partly driven by the arrival of young people who want to enjoy the atmosphere that this city offers, the climate and its strategic location and the same goes for the tourism community who is attracted by the good weather, the beach and the economic benefits compared to their countries of origin. Notably, the growth of foreign residents in the last year was 12.4% against the national was only 1.04%. There is no doubt that we have something special here that attracts outsiders and now we have to do is take care of it!!
