Gifts for Father’s Day..being together
Attention mothers, sons and daughters, like every year here in Spain Father’s Day is celebrated on March 19th (San Jose).
I’m not very very fond of these types of holidays, because I think that people and things are important to be remembered all the time, and it is not necessary to have to wait to once a year to celebrate such events (I am a mother, and I say this with knowledge of the facts).
But anyway, everything is for the consumer society that is benefiting these days. It seems almost mandatory to give a gift on this holiday, and in the end it’s always the same, neckties, colognes, cigarette lighters, briefcases and so on that are repeated year after year. Isn’t enough to just be near a father giving him love, hugs, and understanding.. together with the rest of the family?
so I ask.. Is is really necessary to give a gift...Well, for me enjoying the company of my father, my mother and my loved ones in general is the best gift I have and that I enjoy all year long, and the best part is that my family feels the same, just being together (which sometimes is not easy), is the best gift you can give and receive.
