Ateliers es mucho más que una academia de dibujo y pintura, Ateliers es un taller de Arte y Creación artística integral para todas aquellas personas que quieran aprender técnicas artísticas, pero sobretodo experimentar y crear desde su propio estilo y subjetividad, huyendo de los planteamientos académicos estrictos y apostando por la didáctica desde el juego y la experimentación.

El Enigma de la Momia en Alicante, nueva exhibición del Marq promete ser una de las mas intrigantes de nuestro tiempos. El antiguo Egipto ha suscitado siempre un gran interés, todos tenemos muchisima curiosidad por saber mas de esta antigua civilización.

La exposición se compone de unas 260, la mayoría, esculturas y bajorrelieves de poderoso impacto, del Antiguo Egipto procedentes del Museo de Bellas Artes y Arqueología de Besançon, a las que se añadirán piezas del Museo del Louvre, de la Biblioteca Nacional de Francia, del Museo Granet de Aix-en Provence , del Museo de Picerdie de Amiens , y del Museo de Georges Labit  de Toulouse . La exposición ocupará las tres Salas del área de exposiciones Temporales del MARQ, así como sus respectivos pasillos.

One of my favorite things at Christmas, is to devote an afternoon to visit the Belens that are installed at various points in our city.

This year, we can begin our visit to the Belen in City Hall, which has its doors open Monday through Friday from 9 to 14 and from 17 to 20 hours and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 13 hours until 6 January.

We continue along the panoramic Belen in Aula de Cultura de CAM were you can visit Monday to Friday from 10 to 14 and from 17 to 20 hours.

Following our tour of the city, the following must-see is  the Municipal Belen located at Plaza de Calvo Sotelo, and as every year it is really spectacular.

As finally, we can not help but admire the Belen developed by the Association of Belen de Alicante, this years they are celebrating their fiftieth anniversary and as always they show it off at the Diputación Provincial , and this year it is a very very special nativity scene .

From last Thursday until on the 17th of January the Municipal Exhibition hall “Lonja del Pescado” in Alicante, houses the exhibition “Rodin and mythological symbolism, which stops in Alicante and Malaga after visiting La Coruña, and is composed of 64 sculptures by Auguste Rodin brought from the Rodin Museum in Paris (France).

This exhibition is organized by the Social Work of the Caixa in collaboration with the Musee Rodin and with the city of Alicante, will close in our city with such emblematic works The Thinker’ and ‘The Kiss’.

Now that the holidays are almost here and we will certainly have some free time, we can not miss the opportunity to visit this interesting exhibition, which is also free.

It seems that the politicians of our city have recently taking to heart the subject of using the wonderful spaces that Alicante has to remodel and to use themas cultural areas, such as the old  Murcia station that will now be Mediterranean House and now use the premises of the Castle of Santa Barbara as a museum.

The project seems very ambitious and will have five themed rooms, corresponding with the ones in thecastle (Edificio Cuerpo de Ingenieros, Casa del Gobernador, Sala Larga, Salas de la Mina – Cueva de los Ingleses y Calabozos. Espacio del dolor) and will relay several sequences in the history of the city and the fortress, through adiovisuales, panels, parts, photos and other elements that turn it into an interactive, educational and entertaining, museum that will surely increase the tourist attractions of the castle.
