Finally, the Tram in Playa San Juan, after two years of endless work (not sure if it was two years but to me, it seemed more like 4) has finally finished Line 4, which will be put into operation mid November, a month late according to the schedule, (which does not seem too much, considering it is a public work).
This new section consists of 4.5 km and seven stops, the route runs along the Costa Blanca Avenue where three stations are planned (Cabo Huertas, Playa San Juan and Londres), it will continue along the Oviedo avenue with two other stops, (Plaza de La Coruna and Instituto) to return to the avenida de las Naciones, with the last two stops (Países Escandinavos y Holanda). The Tram will run every 30 minutes, completing the journey from the Postiguet in about 20 minutes.
Well after having been suffered many months of work, we could finally enjoy our new tram line.. It was worth the wait I think..

The marina walkway of Alicante (parallel to the Explanada)has been converted into a city museum to exhibit various works from the painter and sculptor Joan Ripollés. The sculptures with themes as diverse as human figures, animals, totems, and so on and also worked in different materials (bronze, fiber covered with Murano glass and others) makes us think that the artist wanted to reflect with this exhibition of his art the daily life in a any given city, and all reflected in his own simple way and with humor.
This outdoor exhibition will stand until December 9th. Other sculptures will be placed in Oscar Esplá Street (Opposite the CAM). This is an awesome opportunity to take a stroll and admire the figures of a great artist.

This is an issue which we have commented on several occasions because of its importance (Works in Playa San Juan) and as we promised we are keeping you informed of the progress . We are talking about the construction for the installation of the TRAM in Playa San Juan.
Since its inception this work has been very controversial because, given the magnitude of it, it was necessary to destroy virtually all of the Costa Blanca avenue and other points with the resulting inconvenience to the residents due to dust, noise and traffic with the closure of several streets and lanes, and that goes without saying the negative effect for businesses in the area has added substantial economic losses.

I will say it again I love Public Works!
I have been wanting to write about the new pyramid-fountain in the Albufereta, called “La Isleta”, for some time now. To tell you the truth, I’m not sure if it is pretty or ugly, because when I look at it the only thing that runs through my mind is the number of ceros that went in to the construction (600,000 euros to be exact, a little steep for a fountain, don’t you think?
Well, this fountain has already been robbed of some of its letters on occasion, and they have been replaced and this is not to be critized, because vandelism in the end costs all of us money just because of the act of one individual.
