At last we will have a Congress Hall
In a recent visit the President of the Genaralitat, D. Francisco Camps, announced that the Palacio de Congresos de Alicante will begin its construction in about 45 days or so. The foundation stone will be in place before theHoguera fiestas. The area will be constructed in the Sangueta area.
This is great news for our city because we will have a wonderful designer site that will be able to host conferences of any type and size, which in turn will bring more visitors and industry participants that will see the best of our province.
There is no doubt that our capital is becoming one of the most important in Spain and that the changes in its infrastructure that iare being made and those that are to come (the AVE, for example) will give us greater emphasis not only nationally but also internationally, where for now we are only known for our beaches and turron.
