The Generalitat Valenciana has created committees to attract new airlines to our Altet  and Manises airport. These committees will be contacting various sectors of tourism such as travel agencies, hotel chains, airlines, etc. promoting our area and offer our services to expand the flow of tourists to this region.

El Altet is currently under construction for expansion and modernization of its facilities and it should be noted that it was the only Spanish airport with the highest passenger activity that did not have a decline in passenger numbers in 2008 compared with the previous year, but on the contrary increased by five per cent.

We are very excited to hear this news and know that things are being done to improve our deteriorating economy  and hopefully soon the Altetto can become one of the top three airports in our country and through it we will attract more tourists to fill hotels and establishments of our city.

I don’t know about you but finding a good hardware store that is close by and has everything you need is very important because somehow you always need a little something to fix up the house. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Hardware store El Cabo located near the Miriam Blasco area for its excellent customer service and great quality products they offer.

I actually just went in because I needed to make a copy of my house key (since one of the kids is always losing one) and the owner was very helpful and made the copies right away, while I waited I took a look around and found that they had a little bit of everything you would ever need.. electrical supplies, hardware goods, paints.. you name it..

Now that the summer holidays are here it is possible that many of you might have planned a trip to a city in the European Community.

Well, please remember to go to your local health center and request the European Health Insurance Card which give you basic coverage needs as a citizen of the union if you are in an  accident or have an illness .

The truth is that sometimes, when you holiday in a foreign country you are vulnerable in this respect (although having travel insurance is also an option) because you never know what might happen.

I also think it is an excellent idea for youngester who are studying abroad, because this card is valid for one year, and 4 for pensioners.
