Also the artists and rhythms have changed. From Caruso, Gardel, from Sinatra, Streisand, and the most current, Celine Dion, Buble, Joss Groban, Bocelli, the Spaniards also no less important, Domingo, Carreras, la Caballé and other styles, Raphael, Julio Iglesias, Alejandro Sanz, and many more.

The other day a good friend of mine had a birthday and since the tradition states that the birthday gal or guy should invite their friends to a meal, a drink..or whatever… I was invited along with a couple of other gals to enjoy a nice lunch at the Nan King Chinese restaurant.
Although it is fairly close to my home I had never been inside this restaurant that I have passed by many times. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the service, the food and the ambiance. It has a wide open space and plenty of waiters and waitresses to help you. The food is delicious and they have great menu deals where for 8 euros you have plently of food for at least two people.

June is almost here, and of course, Alicante gets ready for fiestas, because apart from our magnificent hogueras, we can not forget about the Moors and Christians of San Blas, in which not only the town people get involved but all of Alicante.
The festivities begin with the opening ceremony on May 30th and last until June 15th , June 13 being their main day with the entry of the Cristiana, and on the 14th with the entry of the Mora, and on the15th with the entry of the Christian Embassy leader, the Battle and capitulation Mora (as well as many other acts).
