Summer is here, and with it our Grand Fiesta , Les Fogueres de Sant Joan! (Or the bonfires of San Juan, as some refere to it).

Alicante smells like fiesta and sea, and tastes like “Coca amb tonina (delicious…..) and” bacores “(for those who like them), and sounds like Masclet and bands day and night ….

Can you tell I´m an  Alicantina …

I love our fiestas,  the mood on the street all day, good weather that usually accompanies us, the parades, the Masclet, monuments, barracks, fire, water ….. all.

With this suggestive title The Bancaja Young Entrepreneurs group will host lectures that will take place from June 1st until Friday, June 5the, where several subjects will be discussed  aimed at motivating young people to start new businesses, modern marketing techniques, business legislation , problem solving and other new initiatives.

The City Council of Alicante through The Department of Social Action, will present “The Tales of Doña Rosaura pirouette.” on JUne 5th in the conference room of the Beach Community Center, at 18:00 Hrs.  Theater for all audiences, totally free, so get there early since seating  is limited by the capacity of the venue,

Next month  June  12-13-14 (Weekend) there will be a workshop called “Project Lifeline To the joy of life” This is a program developed for learning relaxation techniques, using tools such as music and seeking harmony and your life force to transform it into joy.

These skills are desirable in any kind of problem, overcoming self-esteem, shyness, difficulty in communication, loss of memory, et. Etc.

En el próximo mes de Junio los días 12-13-14 (Fin de semana) se llevara a cabo un curso-taller llamado “Proyecto Vital Para la Alegría de Vivir” Este es un programa desarrollado para el aprendizaje de las técnicas de relajación, utilizando como herramientas la música y buscando la armonía y tu fuerza vital para transformarla en alegría.

Estos conocimientos son aconsejables en todo tipo de problemática actual, superación de la autoestima, timidez, dificultad en la comunicación, perdida de memoria, et. Etc.

As it turns out a private company has requested permission to construct an automatic car wash in Avenida Costa Blanca at number 62 and the neighbors are alarmed at the impact this may have and are opposed at the instalation of such.

The neighbors are collecting signatures in order to get to 1000. They are also requesting  a photo of the signer to provide more accuracy. On the other hand they also seek to simulate the noise that this car wash would have to those who live near the future instalation to prove the inconvenience it will cause to the inhabitants of the area..
