La Playa San Juan

Another year is here and the holidays are approaching fast. That time of year when we have to start thinking of gift buying and the get togethers that will unite us with family members and friends in lunches and dinners. A time of eating and the celebration of Christmas.

During this holiday time, our days are full of compromises, our calendar dates get full with at least 3 or 4 lunches a week, with co-workers, friends, school moms..this means not eating at home..

I’m back with more complaints from our insitutions……

The Department of Health has delayed for another year, the construction of nine “Health Centers” in the province of Alicante, many of them planned since 2005.

And ofcourse here in Playa de San Juan we are once again affected, because one of those centers is “La Condomina” (which, incidentally, as I understand no land has been even ceded by the municipality of Alicante, and this has been projected since 2005 , much interest i see…!!!!)

Yes, we can’t deny it any longer.. Christmas time is here and what does that mean? Yes, gift giving, parties, family, laughter but most of all it’s turron time!!! Although we can eat this delicacy all year round..and why not, we usually reserve this special treat for the holidays..

I have been meaning to write about Telepizza for a while but just never get around to it.. So, today is the day. And why today, well, today I will need to order a pizza because with the upcoming holidays I don’t have time for anything, specially cook.. so now and then I love to give the kids a little surprise, and pizza to them is a Big reward.
