Our very kind photographer friend Oscar Martin has taken some great shots of the firework display this last weekend. The one pictured above from the Santa Barbara castle is spectacular. The sounds were heard all over La Playa San Juan while leaving the skies lit up.. If you want to see all his great shots you can visit his gallery in Flickr. Enjoy!

Today we can not ignore the feat accomplished by the National Soccer Selection team of Spain, after 44 years of absolute drought on titles we have lifted the European Soccer Cup winning all matches of this final phase. No objection to this overwhelming triumph of the Spanish team which has been acknowledged by the press from different countries and their opponents.
Very few times has there been such a select group that joined forces to conquer a trophy. If I had to highlight the best player it would be very difficult because everyone did an outstanding job so I prefer not to give names because it would be unfair, instead I congratulate each and every player whose great work and sacrifice gave us the glory .
I leave the last mention to someone I think had huge percentage of ownership in this victory: Luis Aragones, our national team coach. Criticized, overwhelmed by fans and in many cases even harassed by the media, he continue with his efforts and was steadfast in his decision of the selected team, he formed an “invincible Armada” which today has given us great joy in this sport. We wish him the best of luck wherever he goes …. Maybe he will surprise us and stays with us.
¡¡¡Viva España!!! ¡¡¡Vivan Los Campeones!!!

The summer is officially here so swimming classes for children is the first on our mind. If your child doesn’t know how to swim or if he or she needs a littel refresher course or just a little perfection, there are many places you can take them this summer to get them started.
The following are some of our suggestions:
Stadio Sport Center
Sport Golf Sport Center
Colegio El Valle
Trokotro

For the last couple of months I have seen a huge billboard on the corner of Avenida Condomina and Trident for CNA Quorum which is an advertisement for a new Business Center to be located in that same corner. I tried their web page but it doesn’t seem to be working so I started fishing around for news on this project and here is what I have gathered.
CNA Quorum will consists of 14,211 m2 with 48,775 m2 of available of construable roof as well as a public park in its interior of 5,000 m2. The Reid Fenwick Asociates will design the project with an estimated investment of 140 million euros. The design indicates it will hold cristal towers with many green areas as well as integrated water in the buildings. The bussiness center will hold offices, medical consultations, stores and services. It will provide services for the employees of these offices such as a gym, spa, day care center and parking, in an effort to make work and family life easier.
They have reported that there are already several companies very interested in the project which was set to begin development early this year with an estimated 28 to 30 months construction time. So far I don’t see any signs of constructions and there is no further information on the web. I wonder if the current crisis has put a hold on the project or if there are delays in the plans. If you have any information, write to us and let us know.
