Los Pelaos Park Kids fun center

lospealosparkplayasanjuan.jpg

One of our kids favorite place to celebrate birthday’s with their friends is “Los Pelaos Park” in Playa San Juan, Alicante. It is what a call a “ball place” meaning there is an inside jungle maze and ball pit where the kids could have fun running and jumping around. But its not just a ball place, the owners have thought of everything.

The children are entertained by a host who plays games with them (with prices for the winner). The kids also get to sing songs, get their faces painted, watch a puppet show and more.. “merienda” (snack time) is all set up with cute little trays that offer the kids sandwiches, juices, chips and yogurt. The cake of-course your choice of chocolate or..what else more chocolate.

The birthday boy or girl is dressed up like a king or queen and sat down to receive their gifts.. One by one they enjoy opening their gifts and sharing the joy with their friends. Then a group picture is taken and placed in a large cardboard where the kids draw pictures and sign their best wishes for the birthday king or queen.

Meanwhile, the parents can relax and enjoy a nice cold beer, coffee, and snacks in a separate area, knowing their kids are safe and having a blast. Pelaos Park also offers mini packages for kids not part of a birthday party who just want to go on any day they choose and play for a while.

They don’t have a website yet but here is all their info:

Vida Salvaje pet grooming and more

Published by bella under pets

vidasalvajeplayasanjuan.jpg

Our little dog loves to be clean and she doesn’t like just anyone! She is a very picky animal and will not allow just anyone to bathe and groom her. We have gone to several groomers until we came across Vida Salvaje. She likes it there and is very well taken care of.

Vida Salvaje located in Playa San Juan, Alicante is not only a grooming salon, it is also a pet store. You can not only buy a pet but all the accessories that go with it.

For address and phone number information please visit our directory.

Santa Faz Pilgrimage Today at 8 am

Published by bella under Fiestas

Rise and shine everyone, if you are up for it today is the traditional Christian pilgrimage called Santa Faz. You will need to be awake bright and early and be ready to walk the eight kilometer pilgrimage that starts at the San Nicholas Cathedral and ends at the Santa Faz Monastery at 8 am.

A tradition for years, it is the 2nd largest pilgrimage in Spain and is very meaningful to many. The Santa Faz Monastery is believed to hold a part of a veil that Veronica wiped blood from Christ’s face while on the cross. During the pilgrimage there is a short break in which Alicantinos stop and eat traditional rolls and fondillon a typical wine of the region.

All over Playa San Juan and San Juan you will be able to see the devoted with their traditional canes walking in masses. If you want to be a part of it get up now!

La Playa San Juan (By a tourist)

Published by TonyP under tourists

Three years a go I went to Playa San Juan (Alicante) for the first time. My children had moved to this beautiful spot in the world. I had only heard about this place but not a lot, in reality the fame is taken by its surrounding citites.

I was pleseantly surprised to see that I was in a city undergoing rapid evolution, with an ideal location, excellent travel communication, by land, sean and air. Wherever I looked I saw buildings being constructed as well as public organiations being developed. I saw the start and at last the completion of the Paseo Maritimo; and ideal place to meet family or friends, or just sit at one of the many bars or “chiringuitos” (which have also been reformed) to drink a beer, wine or cofee.

I’m very happy that my children have chosen thisbeautiful piece of land to live, this way my grandchildren will be able to enjoy the beach, great weather and a quiet community. Hopefully someday I can join them and live there myself.

The picture above was taken from my good friend R.Nodal’s apartment; from there you can see the modern buildings of the seafront and the mountains in the distance; mountains which I miss because even though I live in a beach (Miami) it is a flat as a billiard table and being originally from Asturias..I think you understand.
