Before we set off to beautiful Playa San Juan, we will need a place to stay, right? Well, the perfect place to stay would be in the Hesperia Golf Resort Hotel. Located in the heart of the Playa San Juan, it is about 20 minutes from the airport and very close to the beach.

This 5 star beautiful resort offers, golf, a heath a beauty center, gardens, pool, gym, meeting rooms…everything you need to feel right at home in this beautiful spot in the world.

Yesterday afternoon, the winds all through La Playa San Juan were very strong, lifting up everything in its way. Driving became very hazardous because there was debris all over the road. Last night, I could not believe the strength of the winds , we could hear the howl of the force just outside our windows.

Today it seems to have calmed down a bit but as I look out of my window now, I think it might just start up again.. If we were living in Florida, there would have been a hurricane warning already…..

Today I went with my children to the Burger King located in Avenida Costa Blanca so the kids could eat a little junk food and play outside in the little play area they have outside but due to the strong winds, which are still continuing they had closed off the outside area for fear of flying items (or maybe kids).

Even though, the kids didn’t get to play outside they enjoyed their hamburgers and fries. My son said “I love this Place”! It actually is a very nice Burger King, very clean and with great service. I guess a little junk food once in a while doesn’t hurt anyone.

One of the landmarks in La Playa San Juan has to be Casa Pepe. This home style restaurant ran by a husband and wife team offer a home cooked meal with a friendly atmosphere. They go to the market daily to make sure that the food they serve is fresh. Not only popular with the locals but tourists love the attention and authentic touch of all their meals.

They serve one of the best paellas in the area, and awesome appeticers such as “queso fresco” (fresh cheese), “tomates raf con sardinas” (raf tomatoes with sardines), serrano jam, and many, many more delicious treats. Eat all you want but leave room for desert and coffee as well as the after dinner liquor.
