Nereida Ice-Cream -Cafeteria

The other day we found a great place for us (the adults) and them (the children). It is called Nereida Heladería and Cafetería. This family owned bussiness is a small cafeteria and ice cream shop with the added plus of a children’s indoor entertainment center.

This cafeteria offers delicious home made ice cream as well as your typical cafeteria goodies and the best part of all a FREE child’s play area with the purchase of and consumption item. We were delighted to find this spot and were very pleased with the excellent customer service and attention we received.

Nereida also offers birthday party packages so you could celebrate your children’s party’s for a low price. They have different menu options to choose from all with cake and sweets included.

Energy Exibition in Playa San Juan

Published by TonyP under entertainment

The board walk of Playa San Juan is currently showing an exhibition about energy, sponsored by the Department of Environment and Science Welfare of La Caixa and Alicante City Hall. With this showing they intend to raise awareness among citizens of the disproportionate increase in energy consumption since the last century and how the sources to meet demands have been exploited without considering the damage they can cause to the environment and natural reserves.

This exhibition shows the evolution of the sources of energy and the increase of consumption over the years. Many school children will be able to visit this showing helping them become more aware of environmental conservation.

Do not miss this event which will run until August 24 and learn how to protect life and nature in our planet …… in the end this is our home.
